Engine Assembler

Parks Engine Service, Inc. is a full-service machine shop in Seguin, TX. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Engine Assembly Assistant to join our team. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

This position will work closely with an experienced engine assembler to reassemble engines, both automotive and diesel, after all the proper machine work has been completed.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Assist the engine builder with the various stages of engine assembly

• Buff gasket surfaces, inspect engine blocks and prep blocks for machine work

• Wash engine blocks once machine work is finished

• Prep engine components for reassembly

• Operation of Ultrasonic cleaning machine, glass bead and steel shot cabinets

• Maintain work area in a safe, neat, and orderly condition

• Communicate with Shop Forman for work organization and instruction

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years automotive engine repair experience required

• Ability and willingness to learn and retain new information

• Ability to organize and label work correctly as it enters the block and assembly department

• Ability to lift, move and carry up to 60 lbs. frequently

• Ability to read, write and understand English

• Ability to calculate and apply mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in practical situations
